Hi all,
after upgrading to iOS 14, my iPhone 11 has started to have issues with loud volume.
In-app sounds for apps like fb, whatsapp, camera, and several others, are very loud.
My ringer volume is down to minimum, and the other volume (the one you get in the control center) is down to zero. It has never done that, and right after installing iOS 14 it does it all the time.
Is it a known bug? Anything I should be doing?

I also experience the same issue. I turned the volume low for notifications and system sounds but when i switch from app to app and go to the camera for example and shoot a picture, the capture sound comes in very loud! Its so annoying. Even my message notification sometimes fluctuates from low to loud. Please fix this.

I just got a SE last week, and I tried ringtone volume on zero, tried media volume on zero and still, on Whatsapp, the in app sounds are just too loud, to the point you would get ashamed to try sending a voice message or taking a picture, so it forces me to use it on silent mode. Instagram works fine though, so I am assuming it is an API from Whatsapp or some conflict between them and iPhone, also tried contacting Whatsapp, but all I got was an automated message (go figure).
My device just updated to iOS 14.3, but the problem still persists.
If anybody has got a solution, please, help this post! Thank you.
Same for me on iPhone 12 Pro. This issue also occurs in portrait mode of the iPhone Camera app. When I take pictures in default mode, the sound volume is fine. But as soon as I swipe left to the portrait mode, the sound is extreme loud. And also when taking pictures out of WhatsApp.
I have the same issue on iPhone 8, mainly when taking a picture directly in WhatsApp. The regular camera works fine.
Started right after installing iOS 14.
I have the same issue with Microsofts To Do app when completing a task which makes a sound and no matter what setting I have for sound volume it seems to be turned full up.
I have the same issue notification volume for what’s app too loud it’s really annoying.
I sure hope theyre working on a fix. This is annoying as ****. And it doesnt do it all the time.
Me too! iPhone 8 SE, in WhatsApp and Facebook. Drives me crazy and sometimes hurtful in my ears. Please fix!!!
Oh God yes. Same issue.
This is the most annoying thing. So often when switching between apps especially whatsapp messages!! Not cool. Seems like an ios14 bug. It's on my iPhone XS.
I just updated my iPhone 11 Pro Max and still the problem exists! I feel like I took a bad decision to migrate from Oneplus, their updates were really helpful!
I have also migrated from Android, and never thought I would find this type of issue in an iPhone. What aggravates is the fact that nobody from Apple came along yet to suggest anything.
