Brother scanners not working on Catalina

My Brother scanners (MFC-295CN and HL-L2390DW) are not working on my upgraded 64-bit OS 10.15.6, though the printers are working. I've downloaded and installed the FirmWare, the Printer Drive, and the Scanner for the new OS but the scanners still don't work.

You might try the following. (1) Double check with Brother to see if their driver is fully compatible with Catalina's latest version. If not, ask when the update will be available. (2) Try using Apple's Image Capture app. It should scan for you, although it is not a full featured scan app. (3) Download and try the free test version of VueScan. It is full featured. If you like it, then you can purchase it. I use it and like it. (I have no association with them.) Good luck.
