iTunes doe not recognize iPhone 11 on new iMac

When I open iTunes, it does not recognize my iPhone 11 on my new iMac. Had no problem in my old iMac. Am getting a message that 'this account does not have icloud music enabled.' I've tried rebooting the Mac and the phone. I don't see what icloud music enabling has to do with recognizing my phone when I open iTunes.

Anyone know how to fix this? I've checked all the preferences I can find that even remotely might apply.

Thanks.
