How can I get activation lock removed from an ipad I've had for 2 years now. I was never able to contact previous owner. It has never been reported lost or stolen. I've had the serial number checked several times.
If you can't reach the previous owner whose ID is on the device and have them remove the device from their account, the device is worthless. Apple won't unlock it for you.
Turn off Activation Lock - Apple Support.
