when should I charge my battery for macbook pro 13"?

Whenever it is convenient to do so. I leave mine plugged in when convenient. Neither your computer nor battery will be damaged by leaving it plugged in. And, leaving it plugged in reduces the rate of accumulation of battery cycles.
