Restore from a lost encrypted password

Hello Muhammad,

You are not going to be able restore from that encrypted backup file without the password. Good news is that you will get unlimited tries to input the correct password. Bad news is that without the password you will not be able to get the restore completed..

Do you use a Mac computer by any chance? You may be able to find the password by looking in the Keychain Access app on the Mac.

What the point of having an encrypted password if you can bypass it, defeats the whole purpose of encryption.

IF you don't know it then set the device up as new.

If you don't know the encryption password, you cannot use the backup.

I suggest you use a well maintained password manager in future.
