The microphone of my iPhone 7 apparently is not working. All FaceTime and WhatsApp calls fail. During regular telephone calls the person I am calling cannot hear me. Can someone help?

Thank you but I checked the support page before coming here...The problem appeared after the new IOS was installed so I was wondering if the problem is software or if it is my device.
