"Sticky" Keys - MacBook Air 2018

My 2018 MacBook Air keyboard keys are "sticky" and insert extra spaces and letters when I type. I read this is a common problem for this version of the MacBook Air. Has anyone found another way to resolve the issue other than having the keyboard replaced? I'm concerned that the new keyboard is going to have the same issue!!

what @Eric~F said for sure, but you can also confirm you don't have any crumbs or anything causing issues. This shows you how to clean your Mac keyboard:
