Big Sur Compatibility

Will Big Sur be compatible with iMac (27-inch, Late 2012) at some point?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

Nope. Only iMac 2014 or later, as your 2012 iMac does not have hardware compatibility required by Big Sur.
