Big Sur update has permanently displayed volume controls on Music Miniplayer window. The Miniplayer in previous Catalina versions did not display Volume Controls until we hover Music Miniplayer.
How do we hide Music Miniplayer Volume Controls?

Done. Also, reinstalled Big Sur (with Erase). Both efforts no help. Could it be Music Subscription? If subscription, no idea what to do. Apple Care advisors tell me that they do see the same issue on their Macs. So I wonder if there's a Terminal fix. Or wait for engineer fix for Apple Care Advisor reports.
I don't subscribe to Apple Music so maybe. If it's a known problem you'll have to wait for a fix.

The Miniplayer works as before for me. The controls only appear when hovered over. You could try restarting your Mac.
