Deleted Conversations in Messages Not Syncing Across Devices

Hi,

I am using an iPad pro 11-inch on iPadOS 14, iPhone 12 Pro on iOS 14.2, and Macbook Pro on MacOS Big Sur 11.0.1.

When deleting conversations in messages, the conversations do not delete across my devices. Wondering if there's any fix for this as it says this is a feature with iCloud syncing.

I have iCloud sync enabled on all my devices and all of them are set to send & receive with my apple ID email and my phone number.

Thanks in advance for any help.

When I delete a conversation from any of my devices, it doesn't delete on either of the other two devices.

E.g. Deleting from my phone, and computer & iPad both still show the conversation even after a couple days.

Just did this and I disabled the "Sync with iCloud" feature.

Tested it by deleting a conversation on my phone and my laptop still shows the conversation. Not sure if it should take a while to work?

Even when pressing "Sync now" on my laptop, nothing changes.

No, it's not supposed to take a while but occur almost instantly. Just tried on my end - deleted a message on my MacBook Pro and it was subsequently deleted on my iPhone.

My next suggestion - Get Support.

Just checked my phone again and it says it's syncing the messages right now, so maybe this is fixing itself? If not, I'll try turning off the iCloud sync for about an hour or so and then re-enable and reboot everything see if that works.

I'll let you know if that works, if not I'll get support. Thanks!
