Voice control numbers

Having Voice control show the selection numbers slows down everything! How do I permanently hide the numbers? Doing the voice control "hide numbers" only works one time.

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 10.15

Can I check - is this on your Mac 27" that you or experiencing this or on an iOS device?

On my Mac when I say "Show numbers" the numbers appear only once and then do not appear again until I say "Show numbers" again. I could not find a setting or command to permanently display the numbers. This seems to be the opposite hide numbers to what you are experiencing. I am on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7

I have also noticed on Bug Sur that there is a command "Show numbers continuously" that does not appear on Catalina, so not quite certain how this functionality is meant to work on the different versions of MacOS.

This is on my Mac 27 inch 3.4 GHz quad core Intel i5 running 10.15.7. I wanted to wait to upgrade to Big Sur until a few more bags of been worked out. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and upgrade.

I had confirmation from Apple that the "show numbers continuously" command is only on Big Sur and not on Catalina so it looks like there are things you will not get until you upgrade.

Tough decision whether to upgrade or wait. Depends on your set-up and if you can work through any issues. Good luck.
