Is it possible to load an apple gift card to Apple pay for online purchases other than Apple Apps?

Yes but only on Euros theres a apple pass on your wallet that let you reload it on a convinience store, if not you must buy the apple gift card every time, or you can add a payment method to pay for the purchase you need to make and it will only get charge the exact same amount to your credit or debit card.
