Using significant memory

When I'm on ebay or Facebook. The more I scroll down reading things. I get this message across the top of the window that says "This webpage is using significant memory. Closing it may improve the responsiveness of your Mac". I have 8 GB ram and a 1 T hard drive. What can I do to stop this message from appearing. Thank you.
