Big Sur update

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro, and right now it has Catalina iOS. Each time I try updating to Big Sur, it keeps giving me a error message for update. I have turned it off and restarted it. I am not tech savvy, nor too experienced on Mac, but could someone help me out and make it easy to understand please?

Thanks!

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

I saw that too. I just looked at my storage and I have 69.2 GB available.

SSD like to have 20-25% are storage to operate efficiently,

HDD can get by with a little less 10-15% free storage—

I am not saying this is your issue, but it sounds like you are getting down to the bare minimum.
