Date on watch does not show. Ever.

Ever since I updated my watch I have not been able to enable the date on any watch face. When I choose a face with that option it displays “off” and I can not turn it “on. Very frustrating. I have turned both watch and iPhone off and on multiple times.

how can I fix this issue?

For the date and time to be displayed on the watch you need to have the apple calendar on your phone.

If you have the stock apple calendar app on your phone and the date or time doesn't show on the watch then delete the calendar app from your phone and reinstall it from the phone app store.
