Can't Burn DVD in Final Cut- Please help me!!

I have 2013 MacBook Pro running Catalina and FinalCut Pro 10.5. In FinalCut under the share menu I try to burn a DVD and keep getting the error message "could not create the disk file-error unable to write file to the specified volume. I'm using an Apple Superdrive which appears to be OK using disk utility to check it. I've tried various DVD-R discs and even tried a BD-R disc but nothing works. Nothing is burning although the DVD file appears to be built in FinalCut according to the task window. What's going on here?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

Try selecting “Hard Drive” as the Device. This is should create a disk image file, with extension .img; if this succeeds you can try burning this file in the Finder: control-click and choose Burn.
