Mac Photos

My phone photos are uploading to my Mac and taking up significant storage space. How can I stop this?

Sounds like you have iCloud Photos enabled.

Open Photos > Preferences (Command-comma or from menu) > iCloud.

Uncheck iCloud Photos if it is checked. (Or My Photo Stream - a less likely explanation.)

You can also go into System Preferences > Internet Accounts > iCloud and uncheck Photos from the list of enabled applications. But that will disable all use of iCloud with Photos including Shared Albums if that is something you use or care about.
