iMessage problems

Hello,

i have an unlocked iPhone 12 on Verizon. I cannot send pictures to non iPhones. I also cannot participate in group chats if one person is not on an iPhone. How do I get around this?

Doing so requires both the following:

Settings > Messages > MMS Messaging = "On"
Your cellular carrier allows MMS Messaging under your cellular plan. This may cost extra.
