Hello - how do I access settings to set up a new broadband router connection please..?

If you get the network connection through ethernet (wired), then just plug it in.
If you get the network connection through Wi-Fi, then keep the ethernet port on Apple TV empty, and select your new home network SSID from Settings﹥Network﹥Wi-Fi﹥.
