How to get MacBook Air to take battery charge from a working power brick. (Brick Works with other MBP)

near zero power on MacBook Air. Recent Big Sur upgrade. Short Battery life surprise me. Presently, battery is near-zero. SMC reboot did not take. Is there not enough power?

Exactly which power brick are you trying to use? From which model MBP?

Check your charging cable is undamaged and securely connected at both ends. If possible test by substituting a different charging cable (Hopefully a genuine Apple cable). I have just ordered a spare cable as insurance that I will not damage my daily use cable...

If you have proved all the charging components individually you may have a problem in the battery or charging control in the MBA. If you think that is a possibility please see https://support.apple.com/HT204054 and hope there is enough power to do any suggested checks. If all else fails browse to https://getsupport.Apple.com to arrange service.
