Cant download current upgrade to Big Sur

Upgrade to computer Mac Air continually shows error in downloading and cannot download

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.0

Response from the community solved problems of downloading upgrades only after freeing ample storage space and I am grateful to Galton for input Problem solved!!!
