iPhone 12 Pro not showing on my MacBook Air while running Big Sur, even though the computer recognizes it on USB. Suggestions?

Make sure the phone is unlocked.

Try opening Image Capture to see if at least the photos are seen.

If not, you may have the wrong cable connected.
