I CAN’T GET THE “SIGN IN TO IMESSAGE” TO SUBMIT OR GO AWAY SO I CAN’T USE MESSAGES AT ALL

After the latest update, my iMessage started asking me to sign in using my Apple ID on a pop up window. I have tried to enter my log in ID (the email linked to my account) and the password and it will not log in, just continue to show the “submitted” notice and circle.

Messages Troubleshooting.   


Some things you can try. Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.


Try a restart.


Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch         


Try a forced restart.


Reset Device.      


If necessary


Hard reset.        


Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.
