I have a locked iPad

We have an iPad which has been used by an employee. Unfortunately that employee died 1½ year ago so we don't have, and can't get hold of his apple id to unlock/delete the device.

Is there anything we can do?

After we reset using iTunes we still get this link on the actual device.

Only Apple can remove Activation Lock you'll have to contact their phone support. They're probably gonna request a proof of purchase (original receipt), so if it a used purchase your on your own.
