im trying to unlock my iphone and it wont let me connect to itunes like i says

If your phone is disabled, you have to follow the instructions in this support article in order to unlock it. You must use a computer to do this.

If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support

My phone is no longer in service but its paid off and i still use on wifi and now stuck on disabled connect to itunes and it wont let me log into it anymore can you explain
