My App Store icon has disappeared and I can’t download any new apps

Then you either have Screen Time Restrictions enabled or your device has profile/MDM or an Exchange account configuration active that has placed restrictions on the App Store app on your iPhone.

Look for it in App Library and if it’s there, drag it to the Home Screen. Else search for it using search mode on your iPhone.
