Mac Mail sounds

I can't get a sound when I send an email using MacMail and Big Sur.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.13

Howdy,

If you already have [√] Play sounds for other mail actions already selected in Mail > Preferences > General,

Try toggling that setting off then on again to see if it takes.
