MacOS 10.12.6 Does not get any more updates for some years. If what is really desired is an upGRADE to newer macOS that is governed by how old the computer is. This Link will direct one to the Older macOS version available to download. Just be very certain the computer is compatible with the version of macOS being downloaded. Do A Time Machine Backup Before attempting. NOTE: Starting in Catalina and Big Sur - they do Not support any 32 bit applications / extensions.
