Turning off backup encryption

Hello fellow Apple fans =)

I am having this weird issue where I can change the encryption passcode for both my iPad and iPhone backups but I am unable to remove the encryption from the backup.

Does anybody have a similar issue and has a fix for me?

Thanks y'all,

Stephanie

Sorry for my hasty reply: you are right (I just tried it myself), you need the former password to even switch off the encryption for future backups.

I'm not qualified enough at this point to give you any direction. So I would recommend that you contact Apple Support: Get Support
