Is this for real or a scam?

I just had a big window come up on my screen.....a voice said that a virus had infected my computer and I should not shut it down....there was a phone # to call Apple Support but I didn't.

I signed out of Safari and the message is gone.

Then I got a message on my iPhone a minute later sayin "Your Apple ID is being used to sign in to a device near Kirkland WA"

What should I do?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

The virus alert was a scam.

Check your device list to see if there is a device signed in that you don't recognize. You can remove the device using the steps in the article below. As a precaution, change your password.

Apple ID device list -Check to see where you‘re signed in.

 Apple ID Password Change.

What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support     I suggest doing this before you change your Apple ID or password.
