Update of OS Yosemite to latest OS mac Big Sur 11.1

I have a macbook pro retina 13 inch, late 2013 model, OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5 currently the system does not show any updates, so how do I update it to the newer version or latest macOS Big Sur 11.1 because the update is not showing in the software update notifications and not even in app store.

As @ Niel mentioned as per instructions but ADD Open All Links Only in Safari FF / Chrome will not work.

The leap from Yosemite to Big Sur is a Major move. There is a lot of work to do Before attempting. Make A Time Machine Backup before doing anything else. If possible do two TESTED Clones each to separate external drives - Insurance incase things go wrong.

Now, there are options for upGrading to a newer macOS including a transition step. Upgrade to High Sierra first - there might be some Boot ROM updates installed. This will better prepare the computer for the next stage - Big Sur. If one chooses to do so, this Link will provide that method to get / install High Sierra first.
