How can I connect 2 monitors to MacBook Air M1? I can only connect 1 monitor now.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

Sorry to say there will not be an Apple solution. The M1 chip can drive just two displays total, one at up to 4K (that’s the internal one on notebooks, external on the Mini), the other an external up to 6K. This is a hardware limitation.


The only ‘solution’ that will come from Apple is a new chip (M1x, M2, whatever they call it) that will be used in newer models e.g. the Apple silicon 16” MBP.
