Upgrade from High Sierra on older mac

Hi all!

I am running High Sierra 10.13.6 on a late 2013 imac.

I am aware this machine will not run Big Sur but should I look to update to Catalina or will there be a performance issue that makes it pointless?

Advice welcome!

thanks. Matt

If you have issue— verify you are using the Safari browser to download/initiate the macOS links:
