LG Monitor LG 34 Inch 21:9 UltraWide™ 1080p Full HD IPS Monitor with HDR 34WL500-B

Hi Guys, I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015, I bought a Minitor LG 34 Inch 21:9 UltraWide™ 1080p Full HD IPS Monitor with HDR

  • 34WL500-B, 34” 21:9 WFHD (2560 x 1080) IPS Display


I connect from my minidisplay thunderbold port to HDMI and the only show me 1080 in the Scaled section.


I see in the Macbook air specifitacion Display

  • 13.3-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit glossy widescreen display with support for millions of colors
  • Supported resolutions: 1440 by 900 (native), 1280 by 800, 1152 by 720, and 1024 by 640 pixels at 16:10 aspect ratio and 1024 by 768 and 800 by 600 pixels at 4:3 aspect ratio


My question is, Can I set up a better Resolution in my monitor, any solution?

Try holding down the option key and clicking the scaled button for the external monitor. This will give you custom resolutions and perhaps the resolution you were looking for.
