I can find years worth of App Store purchases, but when I try and find a major computer purchase, I went through three different Apple-associates, and got "our systems are down" with weather related issues or I'm not sure where to find it.
Seems like something they would store under your apple-id for at least two years back?

And where did you store your receipt? Did you store your under 2019 archive?
You usually get a printed or email copy of a receipt.
I just happened to look up a previous purchase today and Apple showed me purchases for the past 18 months. This is in your Apple store account (not the app store).
Trying to locate a receipt for an iMac purchased from apple.com in May 2019.
