Transfer all data to new ipad

That is one way I tried that did not work for me. Two other methods I tried have not worked either because it will not let me use my normal Apple ID. It needs a new one, which will make me create a new email address and then I will lose the data and contacts associated with my old email address. I tried transferring by purchasing a tablet to phone cord it also would not transfer data for same reason. I tried iCloud that too has not worked. I tried to capture by holding new tablet over old one that too has not worked. I suppose to use the new tablet I must create a new ID or send my new tablet back and continue to use this old one until it quits working. It just does not make since that you can’t transfer data easily being an Apple product.
