cannot change desktop background in my MacBook Air m1

"change picture" option in desktop menu is grayed out , neither does the "change desktop backgroud" in desktop work. It was working fine previously. Suddenly it got grayed out.

Hi amrit65,

It sounds like you are experiencing some issues changing the desktop background on your Mac. We can help with this.

Make sure you're using the steps listed here when trying to update the background photo: Change the desktop picture (background) on your Mac

The option to change the picture every so often would only be highlighted if you are using photos stored on your Mac.

We hope this helps.

Take care!
