I am trying to back up my IPad and turn off the find my phone function. It tells me my password it not correct. I need to wipe out all the data and apps so I can return it to Apple

You’ll not be able to disable Find My iPad without the correct AppleID credentials.

Why can I not turn off find my phone on my ipad. I am trying to wipe all information off the Ipad. I also can not do the back up on the ipad.
