overheating macbook air

My macbook air 2020 started heating up after about 5-10 minutes of usage and when i joined a zoom meeting/stream a movie the temperature could raised up till 90° or above, even when i close all the unused tab

its the i3 core with 256gb ssd, what can i do to reduce the heat? and is it safe to use when the temp is in 90° because im afraid it can cause a damage. the heat started at the top of the keyboard, is it normal?

It your Mac actually overheats, it will shut itself down to prevent damage. Else, as long as you Keep your Mac notebook within acceptable operating temperatures - Apple Support your Mac will be fine.
