Forgot to unpair iWatch an sold it

I sold my iWatch, but forget to unpair it.

How do I unpair it remotely, so its safe for buyer to pair it again.

They are not very skillfull, this means that they need to connect it to wifi. Is it ok to skip erase step, and go strait to removing it and disabling activation lock?
