the volume macox is found corrupt and needs to repaired

This is the volume where the OS is installed. It has Mojave. I want to convert it to APFS so that I can install latest OS, but it doesn't allow.

Do you have a backup?


Make sure you do before doing anything.


Try running first aid from within disk utility.


If you have a backup you can probably erase your disk to APFS.
