What is the Model and year of the Mac?
If it's new enough try booting into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down) and reinstalling the system.
Tryed that start up. Didn’t change anything
Then it's off to your local Apple Authorized Service Provider you need to go.
Well there is the problem. I’m likly 200 miles from one of them lol
My Mac has been in storage for a few years , I got it set and won’t go past blinking file folder with a question mark. Tryed to start up from back up but no change
