2. Select: About this Mac...
3. View: the Year

You have High Sierra Installed.

So, see if your Mac is compatible with the following:

• How to Upgrade to macOS Mojave - Apple Support
• How to Upgrade to macOS Catalina - Apple Support
• How to Upgrade to macOS Big Sur - Apple Support

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and if your MacBook Pro is a 2012 or newer model, click on Mojave, Catalina, or Big Sur. If not, it can't be upgraded past High Sierra.
