Hey there, thedani98!

Thanks so much for using Apple Support Communities.

We see that Apple Music is pausing when you open WhatsApp. We can definitely help with this.

When you use other apps that play music or audio, it is normal for Apple Music to pause while that other audio is in progress. It's possible that something in your WhatsApp thread is triggering the same response. This could even be an animated gif or a video sent in the past that is autoplaying. If that's the case, then there wouldn't necessarily be a way to stop that as it is expected behavior.

If you only experience the issue with WhatsApp, then it may not be a bad idea to reach out to their support team to let them know what is going on. They may have a workaround built into the settings of their app that they can share with you.

We hope that this information is helpful.

Have a great day!
