Do I need a new SIM card if I am upgrading from iPhone 6s to iPhone SE on Verizon?

I am helping my dad replace his iPhone 6s with a new iPhone SE. His current phone is on Verizon. Can I just use the SIM card from his old phone in the new one?

You can use the existing one, unless the iPhone SE is locked to a different carrier.
