Specialist’s answer was incorrect !

I figured out the answer: on an iPhone11 running iOS 14...:

user goes to the upper right corner of the screen,

pulls down the Control Center long dash,

on the Control Center pop up screen:

left of the battery percentage number

is where the Bluetooth connected icon symbol appears !

On an iPhone6+, this Bluetooth connected symbol appears

on the first locked/unlocked screen upper/top right near the Battery symbol,

without the Control Center PopUp.

On an iPhone11, the presence of five devices(front cam, speaker, sensors for face-id, lighting, ...)

on top area of the screen,

leaves little space for symbols, small icons, ie. the Bluetooth connected symbol.

In conclusion: Apple iOS relocated this Bluetooth connected symbol/small icon to the Control Center pop up display.
