I was once able to “add a document” to an email, from my OneDrive account. My OneDrive account no longer shows up in the list of files/directories as a source for documents. I have been using this function for a couple years, so this is a NEW problem. Recommendations?

Assuming that the OneDrive App is already installed on your iPad, at the top right of the Files App sidebar, tap the ellipsis (...) button to open a menu.

Next, tap the Edit Sidebar option. From the Locations List, enable OneDrive, then tap Done.
