Google is a search engine - that can be accessed using a Web Browser App - like Safari, Firefox.

There are various is Google Apps, such the Chrome Browser, Gmail (Google Mail), Google Maps etc. These can all be found in the Apple App Store - from where they can be downloaded and installed on your iPad.
