How do I delete photos from my iPhone without deleting from I cloud

I want to free up storage on my iPhone and and am wondering if I delete the photos from my phone will they automatically be removed from icloud and MacBook?

- "When you use iCloud Photos and delete a photo or video on one device, it's also deleted on all other devices where you're signed in with the same Apple ID."
